Safe injection sites are a relatively recentsolution to drug abuse. Their approach is based on harm reduction as they offer a safe, judgment free environments equipped with competent staff, sterile injection equipment and proper needle disposals. There is much controversy as to whether they do more harm than good.

The ‘Fit-In’ safe injection site public awareness campaign is an attempt to educate both those who could potentially be posed with this concern in the near future and the general public on the issue while debunking common myths and misunderstandings in pursuit of creating communities that would be in favour of such a change.
